6 THINGS TO DO WHILE YOU ARE WAITING

FOR YOUR KIT TO ARRIVE…

1.  Complete the Goal Sheet and return to your supervisor within 1 week.  Listen to New Consultant Training 1 (NCT1) and schedule a time to attend a tele-conference NCT1 training with Q & A. -- see info here.
2. Make a list of 10 people on the "Booking Leads Call" sheet that you want to contact about hosting a show to help you get your business started.
3. Select 6 dates within the next 6 weeks that you want to work. Call your leads from the “Booking Leads Call” sheet using the script provided to fill those dates.

          Why 6 shows? It is recommended, by experts in this industry, that you do 6 shows right away. You will gain realistic knowledge of what this business is about—chances are you’ll have 2 fabulous shows, 2 average shows and 2 not-so-great shows. The combined experiences from these shows will leave you with: cash in your pocket, experience doing your presentation & a customer base to build your business.

3. Go to www.ubah.com,  click on Consultant Login and enter your consultant ID and last 4 digits of your social security number.
  1. Use Order Tracking to determine the arrival date of your kit and e-mail me when you expect it to arrive.
  2. Click on the “Out of Stock” list at the top and e-mail 2 titles you cannot currently order.
  3. Go to the Message Board and email me two things you learned there.
  4. Explore the CIA section of this site for available documents & training.
  5. Click on “Web Sales Admin” at the top to find out about e-shows and more! ***This is where you will set up e-shows for your home shows***  You can also personalize your website here.
4. Know your catalog.  Use this list of questions as you go through the ENTIRE catalog very carefully—checking each page. E-mail your supervisor the answers to the following questions:
  1. List 5 books that are COMBINED VOLUMES.
  2. What books are included in the Discovery Nature series?
  3. What books are included in the Science Encyclopedia I-L book?
  4. How many books are there in the Complete Book of Farmyard Tales?
  5. List 5 Kid Kits.
  6. How much is the Great Searches Set?
  7. List 5 books that have been given awards.
  8. How many books are there in the Big Book of Playtime Activities?
  9. How many languages does the First 1,000 Words come in?
  10. How much is the Internet-Linked Reference Set?
5. Go to www.the-success-express.com, login (your UBAH ID# and password) and check out some of the “New Start” listings. Email your supervisor two ideas you plan to implement.

What to do when your KIT arrives!

 Read “Setting Up a Show—A Timeline” and “Hostess Coaching”
 Prepare 3 Hostess Packets-click here for what to include. Print monthly Customer Specials from the on-line Newsletter under “Downloads” on your My UBAH pageWatch the home show demo DVD in your kit.
 Distribute packets to booked hostesses and hostess coach them using these guidelines.

 Read “Hostess Program”  E-mail the answers to these questions:

  1. How long is your incentive period?

  2. What is the difference between retail and net sales?

  3. What is Merchandise Allowance?

  4. What are Hostess Books?

  5. What are Bonus Books?

  6. What are Booking Special books?

  7. How many $ in books would a hostess receive in Merchandise Allowance from you with one booking and retail sales of: $300, $369, $261 or $480?

 

Go through and read all the books you received in your kit. If possible, read them to your kids and watch what they enjoy seeing! Make post-it notes on pages you find interesting so you can demonstrate those pages at a show. Take one of your internet-linked books and check out the web page links; print one or two out to demonstrate at shows.
